Mares’ tails

“Mare’s tails and mackerel scales, make tall ships carry low sails” is an old sailing proverb about reading clouds for weather changes.

No mackerel scales in this picture, but Mares Tail’s (altocumulous) in the sky over Clonea. The weather changed over the next few hours.
