The Dover Strait from altitude

This was on the Channel group the other day taken by Mick Ellis from a place flying into Gatwick. Great view of the Channel that compresses the distance between Dover and the Cap to appear small, yet still retains some of the scale that satellite pictures fail to convey.

  1. Donal, I am crewing for an English Channel aspirant – first attempt. The swimmer is an accomplished long distance runner and biker, but relatively new to long distance swimming. 155lbs, 12% body fat (perhaps an all time high!). We are considering using an ingestible probe to monitor core temp. Do you have any experience with this?
